Sugarcraft is a four piece band driven by a great rhythm section and twin guitars, the sound is straight ahead rock, spiced up with some jangly pop songs. With a heavy emphasis on song writing, Sugarcraft blends great hooks with an ambient guitar sound. Many of the songs have taken some years in the writing and this is evident with ‘sticky’ tunes that are not easily forgotten. In terms of influences Sugarcraft references the best of the 80’s with all 4 band members having played in numerous bands both in New Zealand and internationally. They are currently working on their first album together at Earwig Studios, Auckland
Bearhat is a brand new band from Auckland. They play raw, high-energy rock music in the vein of The Stooges, Nirvana, and like, maybe The Kinks at a stretch. They don't always wear Bearhats, but they don't always NOT wear Bearhats either. They probably sound way better than a band named Bearhat should sound. Bearhat is: Will Saunders (Vox, Gats), Tyler Burke (Bass, Bearhat) & Brad Vickers (Drums)
